First solid food

On Christmas day I had my first "solid" food. They call it solid food, but its really just rice cereal. I have to start with rice cereal, then move on to other types of cereal. That's to make sure I'm not allergic to anything. I don't really like rice cereal though, and I don't even really eat it, I just get it spooned onto my face, then they scrape it off again. My formula tastes much better.

My First Christmas

Wow, I really like Christmas. We had a special visitor, Aunt Jenn came all the way from Atlanta and was here for 4 days. I really love Aunt Jenn, and she kind of reminds me of my mother, she sounds a bit the same, and looks kind of similar too.

We had a fantastic Christmas tree, and there were lots of gifts from my wonderful family far away.

Elf Liam

Just the other day this funny little elf appeared in my room. His name is Elf Liam, and he's a magical Christmas elf. He's funny-looking, and does mischevious things and magic too. Most mornings I wake to find him sleeping in my crib with me.

Bathtime

Today I had my first bath in the big boys bath tub.

I have my bath time ducky, that is specially designed for little kids like me. It's much more comfortable than the plastic tub I was using in the kitchen sink, and the water stays warmer too. And the best part is that if you squeeze the beak, it quacks!

My friend Jackie

I just wanted to share this photo of my friend Jackie - isn't she the a cutie!

I recently had a play day with Jackie, and she showed off how well she can eat real food. Its very impressive to watch her eat, she is an expert, she makes it look fun. I can't wait until I am allowed to eat real food too, I want to show Jackie how to really get covered in it :) I think we'll be having some great food fights at some point.

In all fairness to Jackie though, I have to show that she's not always covered in food ;)

first snow

Hi people, its me again, your faithful and intrepid reporter, Riley.

It doesn't usually snow here in Redwood City, but today we did have snow!

Okay...not real snow. It was brought in especially for Redwood City's "Hometown Holidays" celebration. Santa Claus was there too. Here's a photo of me playing in the snow with my friend Helena. Do you like my new hat?

And this is Helena and me with Santa Claus.
